State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam has published two employment notifications for the recruitment of 2741 posts of Forester Grade I, Forest Guard, AFPF Constable, Driver Constable, and Grade IV cadre under the Forest Department, Govt. In Assam. Candidates who meet the requirements may apply online here.

1. Forester Grade I

There have been 264 posts (185 men, 79 women).

 Education requirement: Bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited university or its equivalent. 

 

 Pay scale: Pay Band-2, Rs.14,000–60,500, with a Grade Pay of Rs.6,400.

2. Forest Guard

1226 posts, [859 men and 367 women]. 

 

 UR: 704. 

 OBC/MOBC: 268. 

 SC: 81. 

 STP: 71. 

 STH: 102. 

 

Education requirement: Successful completion of the Higher Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Council. 

 

Pay Band-2, Rs.14,000–60,500, with a Grade Pay of Rs.5,600.

3. AFPF Constable

There have been 981 posts (98 female, 883 male). 

 

 UR:  595. 

 OBC/MOBC 192. 

 SC:   57. 

 STP: 70. 

 STH: 67. 

 

 Education required: Passing the HSLC or an equivalent test from a recognized Board. 

 

 Pay Band-2, Rs. 14,000 – 60,500, with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5,600.

4. Driver Constable

 

36 posts (33 male, 3 female).

 OBC/MOBC 10. 

 SC: 3. 

 STP: 3. 

 STH: 2. 

 

Educational Qualification :  An LMV, MMV, or HMV driving license in good standing is required as well as the HSLC or an equivalent exam passed from an accredited board or council.

Pay Scale: Pay Band-2, Rs.14,000-60,500 and Grade Pay of Rs.5,600/-

5. Driver. 

 

 Posts: 142 posts [99 male, 43 female]. 

 

 UR: 73. 

 MOBC/OBC: 39. 

 SC: 8.

 STH: 10. 

 

Educational Qualification: An LMV, MMV, or HMV driving license in good standing is required as well as the HSLC or an equivalent exam passed from an accredited board or council. 

 

 Pay Band-2, Rs. 14,000 – 60,500, with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5,200.

6. Grade 6 . 

 

 There are 110 posts total.

Educational Qualification: 

 

 Cook: Class VII with Training Certificate or Experience.

 Water Carrier: Class VIII with Training Certificate.
 Dhubi: Class VIII with Training Certificate or Experience.
 Barber: Class VIII with Training Certificate or Experience.
 Pump Operator: HSLC or Equivalent and Trade Certificate/ License.
 Electrician: HSLC or Equivalent with Trade Certificate.
 Plumber: HSLC or Equivalent with Trade Certificate.
 Peon: Class VIII passed.
 Dak Runner: Class VIII passed.
 Jugali: Class VIII passed.

Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.

Candidates must be fluent in Assamese or any other official state language. 

Age restriction: 

(I) Forester Grade I, Forest Guard & Driver: Candidates age must be between 18 to 40 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1983).
(II) AFPF Constable & Driver Constable: Candidates age must be between 18 to 25 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1998).

(III) Grade IV: Candidate age must be between 18 to 40 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1983).

Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.

 SC/ STP/ STH: 5 years
 OBC/ MOBC: 3 years 

There is no application fee, which candidates are not required to pay.
